New Doll

Annika was given her first doll this weekend by her cousin Tracey. She wasn't sure what to think at first but I think she likes it! Thanks Tracey!

Aunt Jacque and Uncle Matt

My cousin Tracey got married this weekend so we got to spend a lot of time with my family. The wedding was beautiful but the fun part was getting to spend so much time with everyone. Annika was so good all weekend and LOVED her Aunt Jacque, Uncle Matt and cousins Zeke and Dagan. I didn't a picture of Zeke and Dagan with Annika but these are a few of my favorites with Jac and Matt.

Colleen & Family

Going back to work was very bittersweet for me. I loved being with Annika but I also missed working. But, when the time came I knew Annika would be in good hands, I just didn't realize how good. Our babysitter Colleen has been so wonderful and words cannot do her justice. I know when we drop Annika off in the morning she will not only be well taken care of, she will be loved. Colleen and her family have welcomed Annika as one of their own. To be able to drop your child off with someone and not worry about her all day is so amazing and comforting. Thank you Colleen and your whole family. We will miss you over the summer! The following pictures were taken by Colleen. She always seems to get the best pictures!

New friends

We took our friends, Marlena and Dale, a gift and our daughters got a chance to hang out. We just had to make sure that Annika did not roll over on little Logan!

4th Months

Well, taking the 4 month pictures were a little more challenging since Annika loves to grab items now. She was way more interested in the sign than getting her picture taken! So, even though they are not the greatest pictures ever, they are fun, and Derek and I had a great time taking them. I think the sign will be above her head from now on!

A New Friend!

Welcome to the world Logan Nicole! I can't wait for you and Annika to become great friends! I can just picture Logan, Annika, and McKenna playing together! I'm so glad you are finally here!

Thank you

For those of you who don't know, Derek has coached swimming at Blue Valley North High School for the past three years. Since the moment he started the parents have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. It really has been so great to get to know everyone and to be welcomed so warmly. When I was pregnant, they gave us the nicest shower and gave us amazing gifts. Everyone on the team has been so wonderful to Annika and she loves going the pool and being loved on by her swimming family. Even four months later the gifts keep coming. When Derek got to the pool this afternoon he had a bag waiting for him that was full of formula. When I say full, I mean around six weeks worth of formula! This may not be the most exciting gift I've ever received, but it ranks up there as one of the best. Thank you so much for this gift Tracy. I can't thank you enough. I also want to thank everyone on the boys and girls swim teams. Your generosity has been wonderful and amazing and I am very proud to be a part of this team.

Annika & Bling Bling Pig

Derek and I were at a toy store at the Plaza a few weeks ago and found this cute little stuffed animal. It is made from recyclable materials and is very eco friendly. She is also super cute and Annika loves her! The pigs name? Bling Bling.

The best thing ever is to hear her laugh, and she was laughing up a storm when Monica was playing with her on the floor. Luckily, she kept giggling even when I was able to get the camera.

First Mothers Day
