Date Night #4

In the ten years of our marriage, we have discussed eating sushi several times, but have never done it.   For the April Date Night, I decided that we should go for sushi.  The intention was to have a nice afternoon out, walking at a park we've never been to.  Unfortunately, mother nature didn't cooperate with us, as it stormed off and on all day, so we ended up making it an evening date.  Thankfully, it was nice enough out to have dinner on the patio at Domo, a great sushi restaurant in a neighborhood not far from our house.  The food was terrific, and it was nice spending some time with each other.  We decided to spend the rest of the night, vegged out in the upgraded plush chairs at AMC theaters.

Easter Baskets

The Easter Bunny got the kids great stuff this year.  Annika got a Anna dress from Frozen, a book with a CD, an Aurora Princess doll, a game for her "iPad" and candy!  Asher got a Vtech book and car wash, candy and an Elmo book!

Easter

We started the morning looking through the kids baskets to see what the Easter Bunny brought.  Then it was time for the kids to hunt for their eggs.  Annika was so very excited to look for eggs.  Asher found candy in his first egg and was perfectly happy to eat that and didn't look for anymore.  After a nice morning at home we headed to church and then to Jan & Greg's for lunch.  Lovely day.

Easter Eggs

This was the first year that we had to juggle two kids coloring eggs and it was very fun.   Annika was a pro and didn't need help at all.  Asher thought this was the best thing ever and cried when we took him out of the chair.  When all was done, we had about 2 dozen eggs and a big mess, but that's okay because they had a blast.

Planting Jellybeans

Derek found a cute idea about planting jelly beans and then the next day they turn into lollipops so we decided to try it.  Annika was all in!  She was so excited to plant her jelly beans and then we had to go water them later in the evening.  Asher, was not as into it but was pretty happy to eat the jelly beans.  This was such a fun thing to do and Annika was so excited to see what would happen.  This may become a tradition every year before Easter.
