2 Months!

So Annika was not really into taking pitures. Two months old and already a mind of her own!

So my maternity leave is officially over. It's hard to believe it's been 8 weeks since Annika was born. I have actually been off longer than that because of Christmas break. It's been almost 12 weeks since I last worked! The last time I went that long without working was in high school. I love my job and am ready to get back to work. What I am not ready for is leaving Annika all day. It's been nice to get to spend all this time with her and I feel like we finally are getting the hang of things. Now on to this new chapter of work and babysitting. Hopefully it won't take too long to get into a new normal.

As I look back on the past few months I want to thank all of our friends and family. We have recieved so many meals, cards, visits, gifts, and well wishes that I couldn't even begin to list everyone by name. It's a little overwhelming to know that we have so many people in our lives who love and care about us. I'm not sure what we would do without all of you. Annika is so very lucky to have such great people around her. I can't wait to watch her grow up knowing all of you.

So as we move on to the next part of this journey, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Without them we wouldn't be here now. We love you all.

New Toy

Annika's Grandma and Grandpa Conway sent her some money and she bought a new toy. She loves it! It plays music and Annika smiles and kicks her arms and legs when it goes off. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
