Gymnastics

We took Annika to a local gymnastics open gym over spring break.  The kids basically had the run of the place, and Annika took full advantage.  She didn't even hesitate before she took off running.  I think she tried everything except the rings.  I think I would be apprehensive of those too!  There were a lot of kids there, and most of them were older.  Annika wasn't scared in the slightest.  As a matter of fact, she would watch the older kids and then try to do what they were doing.  She also had to wait in line, which is SO good for her.  Patience is not her strong suit.  I'm pretty sure she gets that from Derek! She had such a great time and we can't wait to go back!

Playing

Annika loves her friend Beckett.  We went to visit their new house one day and they instantly ran to his room to play.  I'm glad I had my camera because this is what we found.  

Climbing, Yet Again

Derek and I were in the kitchen one morning when I heard Annika calling my name, so I went to investigate.  This is what I found.  She was very proud of herself!  Love her.  A lot!

Ready, Go!

Annika has spent a lot of time at Derek's pool over the last 2 years.  She loves being there.  She was there at the end of the boys season when they were practicing starts and I think she picked up something.  She came home and wanted to do starts with Derek.  She didn't seem to mind that there was no water.  Or that she was jumping off of a potty chair!

Sick

A couple of weeks ago Annika came down with the flu.  Annika's favorite spot became the couch, with the iPad.  Add in her "blankie" and her baby and she is all set!

We have a lot of pictures from the past couple of weeks that we will need to post, but when I heard Monica and Annika singing this song, I had to record it and share it with everyone.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Birthday Sundae

On Annika's actual birthday, Derek and I took her to eat at Fritz's.  It's probably the best place to take a toddler to eat.  There are trains every where and they even deliver your food!  Annika was loving watching the trains go by.  We even got an ice cream sundae for her birthday!  

Valentine's Day

We had a pretty low-key Valentine's day this year, but we still got Annika a little something.  She really likes suckers, and because of the mess, she doesn't get them very often.  That being said, after checking out the M&M's, she wanted the sucker open.  As you can see in the pictures at the bottom, the sucker was a success.  

Wrestling

A few weeks ago Jacque, Matt, & the boys were in town for a wrestling tournament so we went to meet them.  Of course Annika didn't understand the wrestling, but she had a great time hanging out with everyone.  Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of Annika with Dagan, but I did get some other fun ones.  Not only did we get to spend some fun time with family, both boys won their matches while we were there!

Trampoline

Annika LOVES her trampoline!  She likes to bounce but quickly figured out that she can swing on the handle bar.  This is now her favorite.
