Park, Again!

 We decided to head to the park one afternoon and I was able to get some fun shots. 

New Pool

 After watching Annika in her pool, we agreed that she did need something bigger.  We got a really fun little pool that Annika loves.  But, before she could play in it, we had to blow it up.  Of course, she had to help!

Summer

As soon as the weather was warm enough we pulled out Annika's pool for her to play in.  She decided to put her slide in to add some extra fun.  She also decided that her pool was, "too small" and she needed a bigger one.  Even though it was a little small, she still had fun swimming.  

Sleepy Girl

One Saturday we were busy and Annika didn't get a nap.  So, this is what we found about 6:45 that night. Completely out.  She didn't even wake up when we changed her clothes.  It was pretty sweet.

Yummy!

A couple weeks ago we went out for yogurt at a new place by our house.  Annika got to pick out her yogurt, which actually tastes like ice cream, then she got to pick out what she wanted on top.  She was so excited to eat that she had to have two spoons!

Annika seems to like things on top of her head.  Except when I try to put a headband on!  Here are some funny pics we have captured of our silly little girl.

So, in our infinite wisdom as first time parents, decided that if we were to buy Annika doll toys, we had to by sturdy stuff, since she likes to climb and jump.  Turns out, we were right. Monica and I were sitting watching TV one afternoon, and Annika started bringing in her toy high chair, baby, plates, cups, the toy stroller, and set them up on the coffee table, then proceeded to divide up her snack with her baby and sat in the stroller, enjoying her little lunch date. 

Mother's Day

Mother's Day started off with us walking in the Mother's Day 5K.  It was a beautiful morning and the walk was great!  This is the third year we have walked and we will continue walking as long as they have the race.  After the race we had lunch with Derek's family, went home for a quick nap, then headed down to the muesum to play around.  They have these huge shuttlecocks on the front lawn of the muesum that Annika ran straight to.  She found a mud puddle and loved playing in that.  Good thing she didn't have shoes or socks on!  We played chase and hide and seek.  We ended the day by playing in the grass  Overall it was a great day!

Two

Annika is pretty excited to announce that she will have a brother or sister.  If you ask her if she wants a brother or sister, the answer is usually brother.  If you ask her what we should name him/her, the answer is always the same.  Two.  So, look for two towards the end of October.

Easter Morning

A couple of weeks ago I tried to take Annika to see the Easter Bunny.  She became very scared and wanted nothing to do with him.  So yesterday when I mentioned the Easter Bunny was coming to the house to bring her presents, she did not like that idea.  That all changed this morning when she saw her basket and began looking for the eggs.  She loved every minute of it.  She loved it even more when she realized there was candy in the eggs.  Pretty great morning!
