11 Month Pictures

He's getting big, fast.  Here are his 11 month pictures.  As usual, he moves so much now, that it was hard to get one shot of him sitting still, even for a second, but not for lack of trying :)

It has been pretty amazing the amount of changes that have happened this month.  He is turning over from formula to just milk, he is eating way pretty much anything that we put in front of him, and he is getting more and more steady on his feet, he's able to walk for about 3 or 4 steps, so he's ready to take off.  We finally decided to train him to sleep through the night, and while it was tough for a night or two, he got it down and is a rock star now.  We were dumb for not doing it this summer when we didn't actually have anything to get up for, but oh well, things are good now.

Swim Lessons

We decided to enroll Annika in swim lessons.  We figured she would listen to a teacher better than she would to Derek.  And we were right.  I think the biggest thing she took from the lessons was the confidence to be in the water and be safe.  After her lessons, she took off and really hasn't looked back. She loves the water and wanted to be in it every chance she got.

Visit #2

Janet came to vist for a few days and this was also great.  I didn't get my camera out too much, which I regret now.  But, it was very nice getting to spend time with her and having her meet Asher.  Annika loved being around Great Grandma and crowing with her!  Peter Pan has now become a favorite of Annika's and she crows.  A lot. 

Visit #1

 John, Marilyn, Kelly, & Ed made a trip down this summer and it was great fun.  It was the first time any of them had met Asher, and I would say the meeting was successful.  It was nice having them here, we certainly don't get to spend near enough time with any of them.  Annika was a bit shy at first, but warmed right up and even let Great Grandpa Conway play Barbies with her!

Catching Up

So, blogging has been pretty nonexistent lately.  Once August hit, and we went back to school, I felt behind in just about everything.  It's just now, a month later, that I'm starting to feel like I have some control over things.  Like I'm not drowning.  So I will spend some time catching up on the many pictures we have from the summer.  It was a great summer, but I'm looking forward to fall and everything that comes with it.

Better Late Than Never, Right?

So I'm just a little behind in posting these.  They were taken on time, but we were having too much fun during the summer, then school started and I got a little lazy.  Better late than never, right?

9 Months

Asher has bee crawling EVERYWHERE.  He also pulls up on EVERYTHING.  He loves to get into the closets when the doors are open and I think the bathroom is his favorite place to place.  He is still such a happy little guy and a joy to be around.  He rarely cries and usually has a smile on his face.  He still does not sleep all night, but has given us a few nights here and there that are better than they have been.  Annika remains his favorite person but his dad is a close second.  Table food was introduced to him and there is no turning back.  Food is his friend.  He will try everything and has liked most everything as well.  He is so mobile now and does not want to sit for these pictures.  It was so very hard to keep him from falling off the chair!

9 Month Stats:  23 lbs 28 3/4 in long

10 Months

One thing I have noticed in the past month is Asher is really starting to play with things more.  Of course it's not for a long period of time, but he does have favorites.  He loves music and will dance when he hears is.  He started noticing the TV, especially if Annika is sitting on the floor watching.  He is starting to stand without holding onto anything and has taken a few steps.  He still wants nothing to do with sitting still and these were harder to take than last month.  I have more blurry pictures than good ones.  He didn't have a doctor appt. this month but I weighed him and he weighs 24.5 pounds.
