Books

I found this cute idea on Pinterest to wrap 24 books, new and old, and have your child open one every day leading up to Christmas.  So, we decided to give it a try and it was a huge success!  Annika loved to open her book everyday.  The first book she opened was The Elf on the Shelf and we ended with  The Night Before Christmas.  Sometimes she would want to read the book and other times we would re-read a book from a previous night.  She looked forward to this everyday.  Me being the mean mom would make her wait until Derek came home from practice before she could open her book. But she loved every minute of it.  Right now she loves "reading" and being read too.  I hope this continues and never goes away.
